Beat the heat with a delicious cup of ice-blended fruity yuminess!!
What are smoothies? These cool and fruity drinks don't only quench your thirst during this season of sun but also fill you up with loads of nutrients, thanks to the blend of fruits and calcium-rich milk and yogurt. They're different from fruit shakes because smoothies are thicker and are usually LOW IN SUGAR!
What's inside every yummy cup? Making smoothies is SUPER DUPER EASY! You just need a blender and the following key ingredients:
Fruits Ice Yogurt and milk What you'll need: - 1 ripe banana
- 1 mango
- 1/2 cup mango yogurt
- 1-1/2 tbsps. honey or sugar (add more if necessary)
- 1 cup ice, crushed
What to do: - Peel banana and slice the mango (beware of cuts!)
- Pour the ingredients into the blender in this order: yogurt, honey, fruits and ice.
- Pulse (blending in short spurts instead of all in one go) for three minutes or until mixture is smooth and looks creamy. You can dip a spoon in to check for any unblended chunks.
- Pour into tall glasses and serve right away, before the crushed ice melts. Now SLURP IT UP!
